Agent-first strength planning

Plan your training in a conversation with the AI agent you already use. Train and log it in StrongLog.

StrongLog exposes its planning and training tools to agents over the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that lets AI assistants call tools in other apps. Once your agent is connected, it can read your current training, draft a programme or a single workout with you, check it, and save it. Then the workout is on your phone, ready to start.

The loop

  1. Discuss. You describe what you want. The agent reads your active programmes, progression and recent sessions so its suggestions start from where you are.
  2. Evaluate. The agent runs its draft through StrongLog’s validator. Nothing is saved yet. Any issues come back so you can fix them together.
  3. Save. When you explicitly ask, the agent saves the checked draft. StrongLog returns a receipt for every save.
  4. Train. Open StrongLog on your phone. The next workout is ready with its exercises, sets and starting weights.
  5. Log. Record your sets, offline if needed. Next time you plan, the agent reads what you actually did.

What an agent can do

  • Create and revise programmes, including their schedule, sessions and progression rules.
  • Create standalone workouts and new exercises.
  • Read your training context, history and individual completed sessions.
  • Reschedule, swap or skip planned sessions you have not started.
  • With extra permission, correct logged sessions. Corrections are tracked; your performed sets are not silently rewritten.

The full list is in the tool reference.

Same rules as the app

Agents do not get a simplified side door. A programme saved by an agent goes through the same checks as one built in the app, and it behaves the same afterwards:

  • A flexible programme moves forward only when you train or decide to move it. A week passing does not create missed workouts.
  • Upcoming sessions are plans. Completed sessions are records of what happened.
  • Main, extra, recovery and one-off sessions sit side by side without disturbing your main sequence.

Access

StrongLog is invite-only, and connecting an agent currently needs a one-time setup step from the operator. The setup guide explains what to ask for.
